Ushahidi started making their crisis mapping data available and I have been tinkering with it a bit. Here is a map of txt/web reports as they were reported to a Ushahidi team after the Haiti earthquake. http://thepopularpress.blogspot.com/2012/05/t-his-is-mapping-of-ushahidi-mobile.html. In addition to an ABM approach I thought the data set looks like a rich source for textual data analysis and network analysis. It would be great to hear about what your team is finding in terms of related projects out there.
